Alyssa Labrie
Alyssa is a multifaceted artist in theatre and film who strives to bring thoughtful, challenging, and socially-relevant stories to life through her art. She is committed to using her craft as a means of tackling relevant social issues including past works focused on the LGBTQ community, women's rights, refugee crises, violence against women, and racial equity. She hopes to use her performing, writing, and directing to share powerful narratives filled with passion and authenticity.

Queer & Now: A Lip Sync Spectacular

Queer & Now, A Lip Sync Spectacular is a theatrical celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and history, infusing forms of drag, lip sync, and ensemble-based physical theater in order to combat the anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric that has been so rife in American Culture.
Snowflakes at UMass' New Play Lab

I was lucky enough to be able to return to my alma mater, the University of Massachusetts Amherst to be a part of their New Play Lab season in Dustin Chinn's new work, Snowflakes, or Rare White People.
Refugee Premiere at the Shea Theater
November 2017
I celebrated my professional acting debut and first post-grad performance in Refugee at the Shea Theater Arts Center. I had the pleasure of reprising my role as the fiery Serbian political activist, Katarina in this original play by Milan Dragicevich.
Body Project 2.0
May 2017
I was a member of the devising ensemble and cast of The Body Project 2.0, my first experience in a devised dance piece. I was able to collaborate with other choreographers and dancers to create a memorable and meaningful world of our own design.

I had the privilege of playing the titular role of Hedda Gabler as well as the role of Thea Elvstead in this reimagined, devised production of the classic, Hedda Gabler, with an ensemble made entirely of women.
